Extravagantné čelenky vznikli podľa Lauren práve vďaka inšpirácii, ktorú našla na internete. Tvrdí, že keď sa začali na portáloch objavovať kvetinové čelenky a iné festivalové doplnky, ktoré k jari a k letu samozrejme patria, rozhodla sa ich príklad nasledovať.
Pod pojmom „kvetinová čelenka” si však v momente predstavila niečo úplne iné. Jej čelenky majú od kvetinových až priďaleko. Aj keď sa v nich sem-tam objaví nejaká tá kvetinka, je vyrobená z chleba. Okrem chlebových ružičiek nájdete v jej čelenkách alebo v korunkách aj wafle, croissanty či palacinky, ale aj iné sladké dobroty.
Ever wondered what inspired my latest passion project, Flour Crowns?From the outside looking in, this project is cute and funny and that's about it. It doesn't showcase my design or lettering skills, and I'm not trying to become a photographer. But remember how I’ve talked about choosing a passion project that shows off the work you want to get hired for. @dailydishonesty helped me start a lettering career. @willletterforlunch helped me break into the chalkboard scene. Now that I've seen how powerful a good passion project can be, I've decided to use this project to strategically position myself for something I've always wanted to do: start a cooking blog and break into the food industry Last year, I pitched a few food-themed book ideas to my literary agent. She turned them all down saying that I didn't have any audience or credibility to publish in the food genre. I was bummed, but she was right: my following mainly knows me for lettering and creativity. So I thought to myself, “How can I change that?” . My goal with this project is to start building an audience that knows me for food, get paid to do more food-themed projects, start a cooking blog, and publish a cookbook someday And even if none of that happens, this project was SO much fun to make that I'm just happy it'll exist in the world ☺️ Sometimes I get so wrapped up in lettering and that I forget to explore other facets of my creativity. This project gave me time for some much-needed play, and there's no doubt in my mind that it'll benefit my work in one way or another .
